From Motordrome to Lake Erie Speedway—get set for July 30th!

The second race in a series of 100+ lap races will take place on Sunday, July 30th at Lake Erie Speedway in North East.

Steve Black in his #1 Toyota Celica sponsored by PennWest will participate in the race. In addition, PennWest will be hosting customers and their guests at the event.

This race will also feature three Nascar drivers: Jeff Green, Terry La Bonte, and Dave Stemme.

Gentlemen! Start your engines!

First Ever PennWest Toyota Lift 100—A SUCCESS!

It was a rainy week in Western Pennsylvania but on Friday, June 30th—the sun was shining for the first ever PennWest Toyota Lift 100 at Motordrome Speedway in Smithton.

Over 250 guests of PennWest enjoyed a delicious dinner along with games and prizes. Additions to the venue this year were a “Duck Pond” for the kiddies and also a balloon artist who made hats of all shapes and sizes for everyone. Jackie Flannery had a custom one made just for her—black and gold with Porter written on it!

Brian Mengeu of Turf Care Supply was the lucky winner of the honorary flag thrower for the big event. Brian was happy to throw out the starting flag. It did take a few starts to get the race really going. The winner took the checkered flag around midnight.

All of our Toyota products were highlighted at intermission with a parade around the track. Anyone with a Toyota vehicle along with Bill Watt in a Toyota forklift and Carl Henry in his service van circled the track. We partnered with Massie Toyota of White Oak to provide a red Tacoma race truck to serve as the pace car for the race.
Thanks to the fine staff at PennWest that turned out for the race and the festivities with our customers. We all need to realize that our customers are our future and we need to take part in these events!

Special thanks to Patti Mooney for putting a great deal of extra effort into making the event such a success.

Next stop—Erie Speedway!
